Our Board

The Board of Directors of the Foundation for Small Voices is a dynamic and accomplished gathering of diverse professionals interested in working together to move forward an agenda of thoughtful giving, creative solutions that support children and communities, and outreach that is replicable and sustainable.

The Foundation for Small Voices welcomes new board member, Stacey Kelly - is a mother of 3 children.  She has an MBA from the University of Minnesota and worked for Goldman Sachs in London and New York in Equity Finance.  She is a tireless volunteer at her children’s school, Rudolf Steiner, serving on the school’s Board of Trustees for 3 years – including one year as the Treasurer.  She now serves on the Boards of Shoe4Africa and The Treehouse Foundation in addition to her work with the Foundation for Small Voices.  She is also serving as Co-chair for this year’s gift drive.

david_spauldingDavid Spaulding – is an accountant and principal of the New York City based CPA firm, Flowers & Becker LLP. The firm’s focus is on small business and high net worth individuals in a diverse range of service and manufacturing industries in the region with a strong practice in the arts and recording industry. In the community, David serves as State Treasurer, member of the Board of Directors and Executive Board of Common Cause New York (a non-partisan, national political organization), Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors of Scripts UP! (a non-profit theatre development group), and Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Small Voices (a children’s service & education charity).

vanessa_danielsVanessa Daniels – is a graduate of New York University with a BFA in Drama and a minor in political science. She is currently working as an actress in film and theater. She served as Director of Development for the Foundation for Small Voices for 3 years and is honored to now be a member of the Board of Directors.

irene_papoulisIrene Papoulis – is a Senior Lecturer on the faculty of the Allan K. Smith Center for Writing and Rhetoric at Trinity College, Hartford, CT. She also occasionally works as a consultant for high school and college teachers with the Institute for Writing and Thinking at Bard College. She has a PhD from SUNY Stony Brook, and writes articles on psychological issues in the teaching of writing. With Michelle Tokarczyk, she co-edited a collection of essays: Teaching Composition/Teaching Literature: Crossing Great Divides.
